Window wells
01 · Below grade
Basement windows usually sit below grade, where water collects. A window well holds back the soil and redirects water away from the window and into the drainage system.
Window wells are made of durable material such as steel or concrete and come in many sizes and shapes to suit the window and the home. A-1 Cement supplies a wide range of styles and sizes and installs them with our own heavy equipment.
What a good window well does
- 01Keeps water outRain that collects at the foundation is directed to the drainage system instead of the window frame, walls and floor.
- 02Brings light and air inA properly installed well lets more daylight and ventilation into the basement.
