Weeping tile

Weeping tile, also called perimeter or drainage tile, collects the water that gathers around a foundation and directs it away from the building before it can find a way in.
It is a porous pipe, bedded in gravel or stone, laid around the perimeter of the foundation. Water that accumulates around the footings runs into the pipe and on to the drainage system instead of seeping into the basement or crawl space.
Done right, it protects the structure from water damage and from costly repairs later. A-1 Cement installs weeping tile across Calgary and is fully insured for the work.
